The beginning of another business
What does one do when they spend a ton of $$$$ on their hobby, you ask? Turn it into a business.
The team at Mary Nelle’s Notes made invitations at their print shop for years. This often included using specialty papers, fancy fonts, matching ribbons and unique dies. Most often these unique invitations included several layers of paper, some printed and some not, with RSVP cards and other coordinating products. It was always surprising how using paper and ink in creative ways would result in a fascinating card.
That card making experience had a lasting impact on us. Why do fancy cards need to be reserved for weddings?
"We think everyday life deserves the best we can give it. So why not use a creative handmade card when communicating with friends and family?"
Now we create amazing cards by hand, with out the need for printing presses or hydraulic cutters. Using cardstock, ink pads with rubber stamps, small cutting dies, and embossing materials, we produce unique and versatile note cards, one at a time.
And this business does not staff a retail location like in times past. Instead marketing and sales happen at art festivals, in selected small retail shops and here on our company website. But as in times past, we love getting to know our customers and providing for their unique needs.
